Creativity in sound and appearance

My love of carving wood began at a very early age and was even at times a challenge for the family. Such as the time when at the age of 9 I disappeared into the garage for 5 days, dismantled the family wooded wine rack and built a marionette puppet. My love of music and crafting with wood grew over the years and developed into a passion driven by a desire to create a great instrument with a remarkable sound.

After coming back to Canada from singing as an opera singer I was inspired to once again begin working with one of Canada’s most remarkable resources and build the best possible instrument. Building violins has become a devotion and a passion for me. I have been inspired to solely work with wood that comes from British Columbia celebrating this remarkable gift from our sacred forests. Sourcing from local and well informed suppliers allows me to find wood sustainably and to ensure the highest quality possible. Intimately learning about how the wood was harvested and treated is the first step in building a great instrument. It is my goal to work with musicians to create powerful instruments to create inspiring music for a changing world.
